Self-Care for People Who Feel Sad & Tired a Lot
Self-Care for People Who Feel Sad & Tired a Lot
In this session, I guide you through some things I do when the Big Sad is here, but life must go on.
This is for the caretakers and grievers, for the artists and healers working day jobs that exhaust them, for those who have dreams but lack the energy to pursue them — for people whose bodies, minds, or hearts don’t feel good for many days at a time.
This is a space of gentle, compassionate self-inquiry.
Everybody is different and I am not prescribing any “solutions.” I am not a doctor, I am not a professional medical or mental health expert. I am offering strategies that have worked for me in hopes of awakening the wisdom within you. My role is not to diagnose or treat, my role is to point you back to the teacher and healer within you.
This is a space to imagine the small, easy ways to care for yourself (and cultivate joy) when caring for yourself feels hard.
About your facilitator:
Jamila Reddy is a transformational coach, meditation teacher and writer whose work focuses on how to live an empowered, authentic and joyful life. From 2015 to 2019, Jamila experienced the sudden, back-to-back deaths of two friends, her sister, and her father. Navigating death and grief inspired her to live the most joyful, peaceful life possible — not in "the future," or "someday,” but right now, and every single day. Jamila has dedicated her life to helping people become conscious creators of their lives and infuse each day with more choice, ease, and delight. Her work synthesizes ancient spiritual techniques, cutting-edge research, breathwork, and energy work. Jamila has been a featured speaker for TedX, Afropunk, Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, and The Loveland Foundation. Learn more at jamilareddy.me
